I'm having a problem loading new setting on an old station. I use the SOLIDWORKS 2019 Settings Copy Helper to restore the settings from my backup file. The set of file locations does not update., it remains unchanged.
Can you help me understand what I'm not doing correctly?
There's no reason why they shouldn't update... Check that you have access to these locations, and especially that they exist (especially if they are directories on a relative paths? / absolute paths?-) server. To switch from one version to another, you have to redo a configuration file from a workstation installed with the new version (redo the templates if necessary and do not start from the configuration file of an old version because options can be added in higher versions). For the descent that is not done on a workstation it can come from a corruption of the registry. If this is the case, you must destroy the Solidworks registry key of the user profile.
