Tie the sides

Has anyone ever managed to make this work?

I wanted to use it on wobbly sides, so that he could reattach them, but it doesn't work.

Is it really only for a DXF DWG? because in this case, why have access to the function in an MEP...?

Hello

Is that what you're talking about?

If so, it seems to work for dimensions placed in the 2D but not for dimensions imported from the 3D.

Kind regards

I was talking well in the case of a MEP, with a 2D rating.

Yes, it is this function, but how do you make it work?

Has anyone ever used it?

It just seems to never work...

On SW2017:

1°) 1 click on the reminder line.

2°) 1 click held on the end to be moved.

3°) Slide on the new eighth note.

4°) Release the click.

Kind regards

no not that (even though I'm not a beginner, lol),

I'm talking about the mass auto function:

Tools / Dimensions / Attach Dimensions

and precisely, it seems super interesting as a function,

but it absolutely doesn't work...

or I'm doing it wrong...

It's a bit capricious.

You have to click on the dimension handle and click on the entity to which you want to attach the dimension. I often have problems with the odds:
- segment length (you just click on a line and set the dimension);
- dimensions attached to centering axes.

Well, I don't see Steffeno's answer...

unless he abolishes it?

if it is indeed there

oops, I hadn't seen... But the answer is not about the function I'm talking about.

I must say that for 1 response, I receive 2 or 3 notifications...

(problems already reported in the Forum Issues topic)

Is everyone drying up there? huh...?

      ;-)

Here is what we find as a remark on the description of the function in the APIs: "This method tries to reattach dimensions, for example, in an imported DXF file.", I haven't tried on DWG or DXF but on SLDDRW Solidworks systematically answers me "0 dimension(s) have been attached", it must be the "sorting" that bothers him!!!!!!

it's a shame that it only works for DXF-DWG,

Indeed, with a 2D DXF-DWG import, the function works ! (but I don't really understand its role, which is objective with a DWG-DXF, because the dimensions were not wobbly...)

But why allow this function to be used in an MEP?

While in addition the title of the function suggests that it works for all types of odds...:

Attach Sides: Attempts to attach floating sides

EDIT: This means that there are 3 states for the sides: hooked / wobbly / floating

And that the function repairs the third case
