Autodesk Inventor - frame generator - assemblies

Hello

I created a metal structure via the frame generator, Inventor created  a whole series of ipt parts for me.

But on these ipt parts I have to add other parts, how should I transform these ipt parts into iam without losing my assembly constraints in my global file.

Thanks in advance

Hello

Have you dressed a skeleton and metal structure since frame generator? In this case, Inventor creates a subassembly of the structure into which each frame is inserted.

Therefore, you must add your parts from the base .iam file or by inserting the structure into another assembly file.

Thank you for your answer, but the problem I would like to choose for each  tube/joist is to create an assembly  on which I would add parts while keeping the general constraints.

This would allow me to make plans of these pieces.

In the workshop, it is easier to weld/assemble parts on a tubular unit alone than on a set.

Thanks in advance

Oh yes, I didn't understand the question! In this case I think you should do it like in SW. That is to say, integrating the parts (turntables, etc.) into the general assembly and making visibility levels.

Ex: Beam A visibility level => Freeze all components except beam A and the plates attached to it
