Centering axis

Hello Community,

The question is recurrent on the forum, but my problem remains unsolved.

I integrated a sketch from autocad, then I extruded it, drilled it and then removed material from a groove sketch, so far no problem.

On the other hand, when I want to draw my part, the axes of the holes are not automatically displayed even if I use the Annotation function – drilling axis.

However, in the option – Document Property – Skin to the drilling axes of the part and assembly are checked.

And when I use the drill axis function in manual mode by pointing at a hole in the same way, nothing happens.

I tried to do the same procedure with a sheet metal directly created in solidworks (no insertion from autocad) and there it works.

Has anyone ever had this problem.

I attach the document.

Thank you for your help

Hello Chris32

The problem is that your piece is not aligned with the plans. So in your drawing the holes are not acrs but elipses

Hello Pierre S

Thank you for your answer, I'll look at it right now.

I hadn't thought about this problem

Thank you Pierre

problem solved for the axis of centering function, indeed it manages to find the circles.

However the position of the axes in automatic mode still doesn't work, but I don't spend my time making holes so it will suit me very well.

Thanks again
