Centering axis

Hello everyone,

I would like to know if there is a solution to have 3 branches (instead of 4...) on a centering axis? For me, it's a question of rating half a tube

Thank you!

apart from doing it manually...  No.

Sorry!

That is to say with axis lines?

Yes, you have to create a sketch in the plan to insert the desired axes.

you can give an example diagram or other to understand your question

You can create as much axis as you want

Hello

On SW you can't stretch or shorten the axes to the plan?

if @tomalam

on SW you can stretch the planes and axes of the parts

Hello

@gt22 I agree with the axis lines of a cylinder, they can be stretched or shortened, but not the centering axes can only be lengthened, they cannot be shorter than the original length (see drawing to better understand).

@BATCH123 otherwise you can represent only the central cross of your centering axis as on the attached drawing by removing the extended lines option.

Hello, I don't know Solidworks, but under CATIA V5, when you want to lengthen or reduce the centers of centering, in a non-symmetrical way, you have to use the Ctrl keyboard key at the same time as you move the desired end.
Maybe that's a way forward.

If I understood your question correctly, you can not neglect the insertion of the central axis and do it manually, i.e. open a new sketch and draw 3 axes of construction on your semicircle.

@ Rim-b

Thank you, it's flawless without the extended lines. And if you find the cross too small, you can increase its size by changing the "size of the axis".

See attached image.
