Draftsight Banner

Hello

Could you tell me if it's possible to print a file save path banner automatically when printing on the fly from the "Template" tab.

Sometimes we need to print quickly for quotes, without having to fill in our drawing cartridges.

I think of a block going back on the road.

Thank you in advance.

Hello

I think that with the free version of DraftSight which does not include APIs (development tools) this is not possible !

If the folder path appears on the screen, I suggest a screen print.

As Lucas says, the free version doesn't include APIs.

So for me, if it's just for a quote, a screen print with the folder window open should be enough.

There you go!

I found this video to include attributes in blocks for DraftSight, but I didn't watch it in full:

I found something interesting:

In the Drawing > Block menu > Block Attribute Definition and then clicking on the "Default value" properties, you get the attached image window that allows you to display the file name!

Hello

If I think it's possible in a block:

In Drawing\Block\Set Block Attributes...

There is a "field" button next to "default"

Category: All

Name: Control Variable

Variables: GETNMAUTOSFVFL

And then OK

With that it should work!

Oh yes I think @Lucas Prieur's answer is even better!!

Good evening, I have found the solution this afternoon and thank you all for your contributions. Just type "banner" in the command prompt to activate it and fill in the options. The banner config can be saved. I saved time to install it on my colleagues' workstations. If anyone needs help and don't hesitate to ask for a tutorial.
