Batch properties

Hello

I'm trying to change a property that is present on all the documents in a folder.

So I launch the utility and everything is fine.

The problem is this: batchproperties only operates on the "Customize" properties tab. However, it does not change anything in the "Configuration specific" tab (see attached file).

How can I edit this second property table directly with BatchProperties?

Thanks in advance

We'll wait for the pros, but I don't think it's possible!

Edit: in the help you can choose where to apply the changes in Options > Properties: see attached image.

Thanks Lucas but even if you select all the configs, it doesn't work...

I solved my problem by removing the property of all the tables (it is present on the 2 tables) and then recreating it using BatchProperties on my "Configuration Specific" config, then on the "Customize" table using "Integration".

I leave the question open as to whether there is a better solution.

I thought about that too!

Maybe if it is present in the 2 tabs, then it doesn't work.

So you can include in BatchProperties the deletion too (if not what you've already done!).

I did it with Integration but it's also doable with BatchProperties.

But the problem may come from the fact that the property is present in the 2 tables, you may be right.

But above all, it's doable with BatchProperties in a single operation so a single click!

@Jose,

Have you tested it with Batchproperties:

1st line: delete your "X" property

2nd line: your property "X" with its value.

I think that in the options you have to put "on all configurations"

Personally, I've abandoned Batchproperties a bit and prefer to use Integration, which is much more flexible and more complete.

I tried yes but it doesn't change me in all the configurations... weird...

But I also use Integration, it's very good for what I do:)

Hello

Normally BatchProperties should handle the properties of configurations,

whether the properties of the document exist or not...

If a problem is identified, please report it

   Either directly from the application
