Hi all
I could use a little help in sheet metal.
I made a sheet metal piece but I can't find the solution to have closer edges (see circle on photo).
I am attaching the part file, I am under sw2014.
Kind regards.

Hello
A solution: close the corners with this "Closed corners" function:
http://help.solidworks.com/2014/french/SolidWorks/sldworks/HIDD_SHEET_METAL_CORNER_FEATURE.htm
Otherwise, you have to check the options in the property manager of your room when creating the main function: .

And the answers to this question:

Edit: this is the cutting interval that you have to look for in the property manager: .

Hello!
I'm on SolidWorks English so forgive the precision of my answer.
In the "Corner" sheet metal tool, you should have a "Closed Corner" option that should answer your problem.
See attached image.
However, I think one of the folds will need to be set to Material on the outside, but you can always change the settings if you want.
I'm attaching an image (I can't send you the SW file, I'm in 2016).
I hope this will help you.

By actually using closed corner (see image),
I had to change one of the folds on the material outwards

Hello in all the "Sheet metal bent on edge" functions, you have to edit the function and validate "Adjust the side folds" then use the closed corner function by selecting each side has adjusted and then you will have to refine the rest.

When creating your folds, you have the option to adjust the gap between the folds.
I put this value at 0.1mm in general.
(See image)
The best, if possible, is to create a single function for your 3 folds. and the same goes for the return folds

I still find that your bent sheet metal is not top notch...
You can have a better rendering for easier manufacturing...

Hello Bart,
I'm not saying the opposite, I'm not a pro at sheet metal work, but I'm obliged to do it as soon as possible.
If you have better, I'll take it.
Kind regards.
