Solidworks Library

Hi all

I'm looking for a library to integrate into Solidworks in which there would be gears.

Thank you

Hello

That doesn't exist to my knowledge.
The best thing to do is to create your own templates.
Because to each of them these specificities.

Jerome

Maybe in Toolbox but I only have a standard license of Solidworks.

I did find models to download but not in Solidworks format, so it was impossible to modify.

Hello

There is the Altitech bookcase that could match your needs

Hello

If you have to use them often, making them yourself is better in the sense that you can create a part family from a single file. This allows you to change the diameters without having to re-constrain everything.

I take the example of a company where we downloaded BTR screws and for each dimension each diameter we had a file, lack of skin when you have to change screws (usually a package^^) you have to delete everything and replace them with the new one. (I know there is a replace part function but never been convinced)

Yes, I saw this by doing "ac cobra 427" research before asking my question but gears not being my field of activity, I wanted to have something done quickly just by changing a few values.

Ok you've seen that before! On the other hand, if you have found models on the net in STEP or other, you can modify them via FeatureWorks! And from there rework the parts and make configurations.

Hello

Your company has taken out a myCADservices Premium subscription and as such you have access to the libraries we have created (screws, washers, nuts, some bearings, etc...). You will find them for download in the "My services" section, then "Libraries" and then click on "Visiativ".

All files are in SW2010 format and driven with configurations, properties have also been created for the BOMs.

Proper use

Kind regards

Thank you oroux1, this already solves part of my problem.

I also work on gears with helical teeth.

Indeed  jmsavoyat I went to take a look there too, maybe not enough but nothing found in SW file even in the Visitiv library.

Re

On the other hand, you talk about SOLIDWATCH, is it really this sector of activity? Because the elements of screws and other components oriented towards watchmaking are very specific and there is an NIHS standard that all watchmakers use.

Kind regards

Uh, I'm surprised you can't find the product! Of course, there are not all the gears, but it can be a basis for work.

Kind regards

jmsavoyat, Why are you talking to me about Solidwatch.

It's okay, I just found it, I missed it.

In the Visiativ library.

Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello

I was telling you about SOLIDWATCH because it is the product you selected when posting your question. :-)

Good luck

Ah, sorry, I hadn't seen that, a mistake when checking off.

I managed to do what I wanted with the straight gear gears of the Visiativ library.

On the other hand, I have some difficulty changing the angle of the teeth on gears with helical gears.

There is nothing in the created file to change this setting.
