Bubble on unfolded

Hello everyone,

I have a problem on SW2014, I can't get my article number on my unfolded (it works on ununfolded views) I get a star (*).

I have activated the "Link bubble text to the specified table" opt-in

Anyone have an idea? Thank you very much and have a good day to you!

A small screen print to go with all this? =)

Hello

SW does not make the link between the bubble/reference of a folded body and the bubble of an unfolded body! Even within the same board! So it's normal that you can't find your way around! :/

If you want your bubble to be consistent, you need to modify the bubble by hand on the unfolded, or maybe try pointing to a property of the volume body.

+1 Ben ;)

Personally, I don't put the bubble on the unfolded, because it doesn't always work, especially if you modify your part by adding bodies.

But I just did the test, (see screenshot), now it works and I'm on SW2014 SP4

Well done@flegendre !!! Is this option recent?

It existed in 2013 but before that I don't remember it.

Now as I said above, I've had a few cases (Bug?) where it didn't work....

Yes I see it under SW13, but I had inquired under SW11, I think, at the hotline and there was no solution.

Good to know!

Is this an option that you put in your drawing template?

Hello

Sorry I can't show you the part.
On the other hand I don't have a list of welded parts, but an assembly nomenclature!

Indeed, same effect on SW13. Despite the option being checked, on an assembly drawing, when inserting an unfolded tooltip, the bubble displays an (*)! :/

Bug? Or future developments?

It would be great to be able to have the number.

I have about ten folded parts almost identical next to each other, for the check it would be nice.

@Benoit,

I didn't set anything particular in the MEP.

Personally I use this bubble just for the list of welded parts.

@Batch, there's a trick:

Insert a Note (Inserts/Annotation/Note) on your unfold, and instead of entering text, click on a speech bubble already in place pointing to the folded part. The bule appears in the note! The link will be dynamic, so there is no risk of error.

The representation will be slightly different from a classic bubble, but it will do the job!

I have 2 views per room, one ISO and one unfolded (I have about 10 pieces, and a configuration for each).

The goal is to find out if the unfolded one corresponds to the ISO view (which has a bubble).
Because if I make a mistake with the configuration on the unfolded, and it doesn't correspond to the ISO view, it's not going to work.

And you couldn't put a comment with the name of the configuration used?

By fetching the "SW-Configuration Name" property of the "model" in the view to which the annotation is attached.

Edit: We agree, it's a hack to get around the problem!!

@Batch: I think that's the problem:

"I don't have a list of welded parts, but an assembly bill of materials!"

I conclude that you called a sldasm file in the drawing. On the other hand, you talk about ISO views, how did you create them?

Otherwise +1 for Benoit.LF's idea to display the name of the config in a note, even if it means putting these notes on a layer that will be hidden when printed.

Hello everyone,

I had the same problem with a star that appears in my bubble instead of the part number.

Apparently, this star is displayed when the configuration of the view does not match the configuration that is in the nomenclature.

To display the part number, you must tick, in the tab linked to the BOM, the box: "display with the same article number" - "display under  a single article all configurations of the same part"

I don't know if it can solve your problems but it worked for me.

A good lead, I'll have to try this!

Thank you!
