I'm currently working on a fairly heavy assembly, the pc has trouble managing and lags. So I open my assembly in "Manage large designs " mode. It's a little better in terms of fluidity, but it's still not that.
I noticed that in this mode the software models all the screws, and there are a lot of them.
So my question is the following : is it possible to hide all the screws in this mode ? Just to lighten the calculations made by the pc (I know that there is another mode where the software hides them automatically, but in this mode the pc lags much more).
It could also be done with a macro, provided that the screws are automatically recognizable (specific file name, or custom property Toolbox or Screws set to 1 for example).
A link that talks about it: https://forum.solidworks.com/thread/80095
Otherwise for large designs, you can use the SpeedPak, which only loads the assemblies graphically, if it's used well it's very efficient but it takes a little time to set up (but how many minutes are lost each time the assembly is rebuilt ???);
Wouldn't there be a problem with the graphics card capacity? or RAM on the PC because a component in the "deleted" state no longer penalizes the display
We open 15,000 PRT ASMs without any problems of fluidity (and ask users not to put any screws unless they need to check passages or purchased screws and not in trolleys)
on the other hand I noticed (and validated by my hotline) that speedpack does not work well on large ASMs (crashes at home on ASM of 7000 PRT)
