Quick question: I often use layers on an assembly drawing to identify the different elements.
Now I'm wondering if I can associate a function in a room with a layer?
Concretely I have a LASER flow on which I trace axes.
The cut should appear in black on the MP, the lines in yellow.
The lines are made with the winding function, I sketch my axis by drawing a small oblong of the length of the axis and 0.1mm wide closed by arcs to create a closed outline.
I'd just like to associate a line type with this function so that it has a layer where the line is yellow.
A priori Solidworks does not manage the thing, do you have any other solution?
I don't think you can associate a layer with a function (a complete part is possible). The only solution I see is always the same, which is to do it manually by right-clicking on the line you want to change and associate it with a color, or even a particular type of line.
An alternative to the @Rim-B solution is to "copy" the entities to the desired layer by converting the entities: Tools/Sketching Tools/Convert Entities.
This can be done even faster if you assign a shortcut key to this function.
Yes, for the drawings of a set, you can choose the color of a room, but obviously, what fpinheiro asks is to assign a color to a function of a room... Unless I misunderstood the question.
For macros, I can't say, I have no experience in this field but I guess it could do it.
Indeed, I already use what you show in an assembly.
For the room the small option "check the colors in dressing" is not bad; To be poffined because all the colors really appear and it doesn't really seem to work when exporting in DWG or DXF.
By any chance if someone uses tracings on his LASER cutting parts, how do you do them? and especially how do you differentiate them on the MP?
