Automatic Dimension Change

Hi all

I have a small question about the management of holes (dimensions) automatically. I do a lot of 3D printing and the tolerances are not the same (screw hole for example) compared to the choice of printer. So I wanted to know if there was an automatic way to manage these odds. For one piece, doing it by hand is fine, but an assembly of about ten pieces is a little less :)

Example for this room where I want to change the depth, the diameter of the hole...

Thank you

via different configurations and equations you should get by

a config with its own values and tolerances

and X config by 3D printer machines

having defined the shrinkability coefficient of products and machines

Good evening, it will not be possible in automatic to change the dimensions of several existing parts by the basic functions offered by SolidWorks. You either have to modify each part by hand or create a macro in VBA.

Hi Neroz,

I'm thinking of PilotAssembly if you have myCADtools, it's an Excel sheet that automatically reads all the dimensions and functions of your assembly, you can modify your cotex in the excel file and apply the mass changes to the parts of your assembly.

A+

@gt22, thank you, I'll take a closer look at it, I was thinking in particular of making configurations, but it's quite long to do and the risk of error is great

@.PL what could the macro do in VBA? Because I'm not a macro specialist at all

@mcordero, I don't have myCADtools, but your solution looked interesting
