Stamped Shape Tool Change

Hello

 

I have a shape tool that has changed its name (xx.sldftp ).

In the sheet metal room, he obviously can't find the tool anymore. And when I want to replace the tool, sw only allows me to choose *.sldprt parts files.

 

Is there a way to choose the right extension somewhere?

 

 

For the moment, I have only managed to shoot the tool and redo it. And then take back everything that's wobbly behind the mano...

 

If anyone has a solution, thank you in advance.

Have you tried to change the reference:

  • Room closed, click Open (Ctrl+O)
  • Point your room (without opening it)
  • Click on the "References" button
  • Redirect to your new sldftp file.
  • Open your room

 

If that's not enough, when pointing to the .sldftp file, when it only offers you sldprt, enter the desired full name "xx.sldftp" despite the sldprt filter. In some cases it works

Well excuse me, we don't see the reference in... References.

 

On the other hand, by trying (on SW13) you can get a sldftp when replacing shape tools (see image)

Edit: Perfect, forget the rest:)

 

 

(You proceed how to change the tool:

  • Right-click / replace shape tool
  • Edit function, "Replace tool" button

I don't know if there are the 2 possibilities on SW12. In case both exist, see if one of them offers the sldftp.

 

And trying to write the full name at the time of the change "xx.sldftp"?

 

On SW12, is there a possibility on the function to "edit in context". If so, there may be a way out.

 

One last thing. If your function name ends with "->" or ">?", is the link broken? If not, try breaking it (by renaming the original sldftp) to try to redirect the reference.)
