I would like to be able to change the custom properties model on a whole batch of parts of a folder (operation that I have to do piece by piece.. see attachment)
I searched on the Mycad tools side, and on the macro side, but I couldn't find anything that met my request.
Will this new custom property model replace the previous one for all your files?
If so, then you name your new PP template exactly like the previous one and delete the old one. This way, your files will refer to a file with the same name but which has changed.
Now if it is still necessary to use your old PP template, then yes I am afraid that you will have to type your files one by one.
Tictic's answer meets my needs exactly, however I need to keep both property models, I'll have to get used to the idea of modifying the files 1 by 1.
Renaming the template was the simple solution but doesn't work in my case, because I need to be able to keep the files before the template change intact.
I tried the CopyOption, same, it copies the properties but not the template.
Create templates (or forms), change it in a room, I already do it manually, and it works very well, Change properties with BatchProperties as well. But once the batch properties is over, I still have to change all the models, and that's where I have to deal with them one by one.
the idea is that I have folders containing hundreds of 3D files, and I would like to know how to change the template (form, which is already created) in a whole Folder.
I looked with integration, I don't see how to change the model.
@CharlyBoy: Even if many parts and assemblies were completed before acquiring the myCADtools, you can switch to smartproperties very easily, this will save you from having to do "mass" manipulations to integrate, on old parts, the new SolidWorks property forms.
