Choice of PRINT STYLE

Bjr

I'm looking to print a black and white map from Drafsight.

When the Print tab is open:

I choose (bottom left  ) Additional configuration options/

and there in the printing style table I don't know how to get

the possibility of printing in monochrome or other (personal style)!

Also I created a "Perso.ctb style" where I noticed that the yellow lines I create

in my draftsight plan be printed in black. But it doesn't work:

so the yellow comes out gray when printed!

So if qq1 has an idea?

Hello

Personally, I would simply change the properties of the printer to enable black and white.

In any case, it works for me.

As Coyote says, you have to go to the printer's properties in order to choose the black and white mode.

!I just confirm the correct answer he gave :-)

yes I agree with you but then there is only what I drew in white lines that come out black when printed... All other colors come out with grayscale! And the worst is the yellow, you really can't see much of it. And I have the same problems when I print in pdf.

What is your printer? Please note that on some printers you can print either:

- in grayscale, which gives the result of your example.

- in black and white, without shades of grey, which should be what you want.

For the example I gave you, I printed with adobe.pdf

by choosing black and white print:(

Can you take a screenshot of your window when you choose the printer?

This will allow us to see the settings.

Kind regards

Hello Jmsavoya and Phociné

thank you for your answers

Here is the screenshot when I want to print.

In the print style table I have as a choice "none"

Even if I check "use styles of affected lines" it doesn't change anything

In the printer properties I don't have the option to choose the output color because it's a black & white printer!

In the draftsight/printstyle/ folder I actually have "monochrome"

I even created a personal one.. but I can't make them appear when

I'm just looking to print with it!

Also, when I'm not in print mode;

I went to snoop in: Options/system options/printing/default setting/type:

I am offered

- Use named print style

- use a color-dependent print style

Which one should I choose?!!

Well I admit that I can't find the solution:(

If it can help, under autocad, the print management is well done, on the other hand under Draftsight it's a hassle. First, take the "monochrome" style and check that for each color "Print style" the line color: " is "black" FYI, the "couleur_7" is black when the screen is white and white when the screen is black. At the same time, check that the thickness of each line is at least 0.3mm because above for some laser printers that are not too precise, it will turn gray, or even almost disappear.

Finally, avoid RGB colors, you must stay in the basic Autocad colors because it is not possible to configure them.

To make a PDF export, use a "virtual PDF printer" of the PDF creator type, making sure to configure this software with a minimum of 600dpi to prevent it from converting everything to gray and use the same settings as for an impressive laser: Monochrome.

THANK YOU FOR THESE TIPS
