Choosing a 3D printer for individuals

Hi all

As an industrial designer by profession, I thought about investing in a personal 3D printer, but I don't know much about it.

My max budget is 450€, find do you have decent printers at this price on leboncoin or other (second-hand)?

What are the criteria to look at? Knowing that it's just to "have fun" a little from home (small models, small objects or assembly with rough game) nothing very professional.

Thank you for your help

Alex.

Hello

Look at the question I asked a while ago in the same price range:

http://www.lynkoa.com/forum/solidworks/quelle-imprimante-3d-choisir

In the end I didn't buy one but my choice was the DAGOMA, a model designed in France at 299€ new in kit or 399 assembled:

Korben's test:

Possibility to see if users are near you to see one in real life:

And a little bonus (even if the thread is not so cheap on dagoma.fr:

With the code DAGOCULTS16D, a custom tak build worth €19.90 is offered for €334 of purchases (i.e. a printer kit for €299 + 2 spools of 100-meter wire), or you can get a €20 discount directly with the code on the assembled version.

At my media library, they bought a Delta 3D printer that works properly. They had to assemble it themselves, but the parts made are not bad at all, as well as my Makerbot

Here is a 3D printer to download to make it yourself...

Thank you all for your answers.

AC Cobra, I didn't really understand the principle of the downloadable printer?

Thank you

As you're a draftsman, you can make the plans for this important one and launch the chassis in Fab where you work and buy the motors and belt and electronic components. The printing software for it and how to get it started is easily found on the net...

The same principle as for powdered water: To print your 3d printer, you need a 3d printer:)

Who talks about printing it???? It's a scrap metal or aluminum frame with mortise and tenon....

It wasn't a remark, just a little bit of humor, relaxed;)

What's the point of putting a little smile:) if it is not taken into account?

It's true DSL, weekend and I really hadn't seen it the " :) "

On the other hand "Machining" + "Motor" + Belt + everything else, I'm not sure it's much cheaper than buying one in a kit.

Especially since I find it difficult to see how to connect the motor and the runner to the printing program to have accurate and precise measurements.

Ps: What is a "mortise and tenon"?

A post is the wrong part (the tongue)

a mortise the female part (the raynure)

it's mom and dad

Okay thank you, I'd never heard that term.

Have a nice weekend!

That's what tenon (dad)-mortise (mom) is all about ;-) ... I attach a STEP to you
