Start switching from a .scad part to solidworks?

Hi all

I am currently in the final year of STI2D with the ITEC option and I am currently carrying out a project that consists of printing a part with the 3D printer provided by the school

I found a shimano hub dynamo part on a site  http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:132703  , the problem is that I have to put this part on Solidwork and I'm really a beginner.

If anyone knows how to put this .scad part on solidwork, I'd like to be explained.

Thank you all

Kind regards

Good evening

my English is a bit rusty but I think there's the solution in there:

Got it to work perfectly and with minimal effort.
>Export as CSG from OpenSCAD
>open CSG in FreeCAD
>Save as STEP File
>Open STEP in Solidworks and save as Solidworks Part.

Can now be edited and used in solidworks Assemblies

Good evening

I'll see, thank you for your help

Kind regards

I tried to export it, the problem is that the parts do not appear on Freecad.

Otherwise there's also that which looks pretty good to me...

Thank you I'll see

  1. Then you need to configure the OpenSCAD executable path. Switch to the OpenSCAD workbench from the menu View --> workbench.
  2. Go to Edit --> Preferences.

Do you know how to do this manipulation?

No I'm sorry, I'm on a gold shelf of the country,

Open it in OpenSCAD and export it to CSG and open its file with FreeCAD and there you can save it in STEP. Once you have the STEP, you open SolidWorks and open it.

Okay no worries  , I opened it in OpenScad, I then exported it under CSG, I launched Freecad then I opened the CSG file but the problem is that the file is put but no part appears

I put you a screenshot

A silly question but the pieces are greyed out; If you right-click on them, you can't make them appear??? Because they seem to be there but not apparent.

I tried to change the color, I right-clicked on pretty much the entire surface but nothing helps .

And if you click on START, what does it look like?? And did you first open the software and make file open???

I just downloaded your file and there is also the STL that can be opened with SolidWorks...

And you need to choose Solid Body
