How do I view the dimensions of a sketch that is not used in a drawing?

Hello,

Uh...  It's all in the title.

In detail, I have a sketch in my 3D part on which I have dimensions but it is not used in a function.
Hence the question, how to retrieve them in the drawing.

Thank you in advance.

Hello

It's the little magic wand: "objects of the model":

I talk about it (among other things) in my SolidWorks cheat guide:

http://www.lynkoa.com/tutos/3d/astuces-debutants-solidworks-1

I checked everything in "Model objects" and they don't appear.
Is there a trick that escapes me?

This is not possible unless you choose to show the sketch (not always elegant).

Ah, the sketch is not used! You have to display the sketch in this case!

In the tree on the left, expand the view, go to the sketch and right-click > show.

Even if you show the sketch, they don't appear.

Hello

In your drawing, right-click on your sketch in the feature manager and then show the dimensions.

It's weird, I can show the sketch, but not the dimensions.

Well, I added the dimensions by hand. If anyone has an idea.
Thank you.

I haven't solved my problem, but I'll deal with it.

Hello

Which version are you in?

In 2016, I can either show hide the sketch or show hide the sides of it.

Hello, when you want to insert the dimensions of an unused sketch, you have to check the box highlighted in yellow at the bottom of the table. Kind regards

So why close the question if you haven't solved????????

especially after only an hour. Well.

Hello

On the drawing, when selecting a view, you have to check import annotation and check design anntation. See attachment.

I'm in SW2014.
I haven't solved the problem because there is no solution.
My need is very specific, but not frequent.

To try to keep it simple. I am in the process of defining a complete stamping tooling of a part with a lot of left surfaces. As I have to go through an initial cutting of the material, several ironing and folding before moving on to the actual typing, I need to define profiles that, when the piece comes out of one stamp, it goes into the next. So, between the left surfaces, the folds and the drafts, I generated 2D and 3D sketches during the design process that are the result of different functions. And when, in the end, I need a plan that superimposes these different sketches with the finished stepped part and these sketches are not "activated" (they are deleted ) according to the configurations, in my plan I can show the sketches, but not the dimensions that are controlled.

I have tried all of your suggestions as well as others to no avail.

So, the solution is to manually put the dimensions in my plan.

Thank you for your help.
