How do I get the name of the extensions in the "type" column in the solidworks explorer?

Hello

I no longer have the name of the extension in my type column in the solidworks explorer, I only have "SLD 2020 app" while I would like to have "SLDRW.... " etc.

How to do it?

Thank you

Hello

Try to right-click on the part files, then properties, and in opens with search for Solidworks Launcher and ditto for the drw.

Hello

If the method of @ac cobra 427 doesn't work, which it did for me,  you can choose a default application following this method:

Control Panel\Programs\Default   Programs -> Associate File Type

Choose default app

You have to expand the choice panel and then choose "search for another application on this pc" to find the exe file, at home it's here: C:\Program Files\SOLIDWORKS Corp\SOLIDWORKS\swShellFileLauncher.exe

I right-clicked on my files, property, and I modified the opening program by choosing Solidworks Launcher which reappeared following your previous manipulation.

Thank you all

Hello

You still have to validate the answer that helped you the most to solve your problem, this can help users with the same problem to solve it by finding the answer more easily (same on your other current questions).

Kind regards
