How do I change the default projection type on SolidWorks 2018?

Hello

I can't change the default projection type on SW2018, yet my basemaps are in European projection type whether it's the ".slddrt", ".drwdot" and even the "Layout" model in the templates. As soon as I press "create a drawing from the room" or "Ctrl+N drawing" my plan is set to the USA projection type each time.

Thanks in advance,

Hello

If, as you mentioned, each template is in the Europe projection type, then check if the template path points to the correct files. Sometimes it doesn't update as desired. (Options => Default Templates => Drawings (See PC))

Also, check the paths in Options => File Locations, while you're at it.

Hello

When you are in the MEP and you right-click and then property you have Europe or USA? After putting it in Europe if it wasn't, delete your coins in it and then have it registered under . DRWDOT to have your update template.

Thank you very much, the problem came from the "Model" when I opened the MEP it took the correct drawing but with for "Model" an MEP in a hidden folder which was in the USA projection type. I tried to modify the "Model" when I just had to change the location of the files.

Hello, I have the same pb as you, what have you done in terms of the location of the files?
Thank you

You need to tell SW where your template files are located (drwdot) in System Options/File Location/Document Templates (this is the 1st topic).
While you're at it, change the path of the basemaps as well.
