How do I set up a global variable that is not linked to a rating?

Hello

So what is the point of it if it's not related?

Can you elaborate on your question?

A case, a screenshot etc...

Thank you =)

Yes, where is the problem?

A variable is by its non-variable via something including a dimension

an explanation is necessary NO

The global variable can change value depending on the configuration and this is used in equations?

In this case you have to enter a value for the global variable for the desired configuration in the equation editor and in the Value/Equation field click on the icon with yellow cubes to indicate "Specify configurations", "This configuration", or "All configurations" (default value)

If it's a variable to use in an equation for example, in your Feature Manager (tree):

  • Right-click on the "Equation" folder then "Equation Management"
  • In the first part, in the "Global variables" area, enter the desired name for this variable, and then its value in the next column.

@Fabrice_A

Which version of SW do you use? on SW13 I don't have access to the configurations.

Available under 2014 Benoit it seems to me

Yes I forgot that it is SW2014

See this tutorial!

This will help you understand how global variables work.

sorry for the source....

Indeed I did not specify under SW 2013 and this variable is part of an equation that drives a dimension.

So you wanted to change this variable according to the configurations?

Why not go through a family of parts? Your variable would be in the form of a column and your equations would be in the Excel sheet.

For the families of rooms see this tutorial

I have switched to the 2014 version where the problem no longer arises.
