How do you rate the position of the center of this radius?

Hello

Small problem with the following view:

How do I make the dimension of 1132 appear attached to the center of the radius or have an equivalent result?

Hello Stef

Two solutions

1°) you create a horizontal construction line that you hang on the center of the radius 1124.5

2°) you create a point in the center of the vertical tapped hole on the vertical centerline line

3°) you create a radius in the form of a construction line that connects between the center of the vertical tapped hole and the horizontal centerline.

Last solution you put a dimension between the tangency point of the radius of 1124.5 and your horizontal axis line.

If it's not clear, pass  your piece and I'll do it to you in a minute ;-)    (because it's you ;-)  )

I am willing, thank you.

I tried to hang on to the cross of the reduced radius dimension but it doesn't want to... It would be good and logical, it seems to me.

Hi @ Stefbeno

and If quite stupidly

Your vertical construction line has a 1132 mm side and ends

with each end constraint center point and horizontal line

Hello STEF

You will see in the attached image several ways to get the rating of the R 1130

I added in sketch 5  (it's the one that is the highest in the creation tree so that will move the least)

1°) a horizontal construction line located 10 mm from the top of the piece but this does not give the notion of connection to the radius. (if I understood correctly what you want to guide the machinist.)

2°) which seems to me to correspond to your wishes.
I created an arc from the center that I connect to the horizontal construction line. I'm turning this arc into a construction line. You just have the bow next to it and that's it.

I hope this corresponds to your request.   ;-)

Kind regards

PS I'm in 2019 version if you want I'll send you my file

You're nice guys but I think there's something that escaped you: the part is done, it's to do the drawing that I'm struggling...

I'd like to hang my dimension of 1132 at the end of the radius dimension (or at least that it appears as if it were the case and that it follows in case of modification).

Hello

You can right-click on the radius dimension, then "Display Options" and then uncheck "Reduce". Then make your desired rating and then check the "Reduce" display option. Optionally move the label.

Kind regards

Hello stefbeno,

something like that? I'm also under 2017; you will just have to stick your piece in a phony folder on the desk and add the attached MEP? FYI I added a very small arc of R1132 inside edge of the part to achieve this.

Hallelujah, it's twisted (but hey it's SW) but it works.

And to keep the symbol (the cross at the end of the radius dimension line) on the axis of the part, is there anything?
