How to Dimension Position of Drillings in a Deployed Part

Hello

I would like to rate the position of the holes on a part to deploy. The holes are in a fold, so when I want to size the holes. Solidworks just doesn't want to.

The selected entity could not be converted to a circular line or arc.

Anyone have a solution for me please?

Thank you

Hello

You should see your piece but I guess the holes are made before folding (well I hope)

So if your part is made like in real life with a flat sheet with countersunk holes and smooth holes, if you make a sketched fold, I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to have a correct flat dimension.

If you make the holes after bending (folding) it's a whole different pair of sleeves.

Can you give us details on the manufacturing method, or mail your part it will go faster.

Kind regards

PS: if it's a sketched fold, make a sketch that doesn't touch two large edges.

Hello

For it to work, you have to make your piece as zozo_mp described it (like in real life ;-) ) folded without the holes then use the unfolded function and make your holes and fold it so that your holes will be round in your flat and can be sided. There they are slightly oval so not cotable.

Hello

I confirm the answers of ZOZO and AC COBRA, I am just making  this type of parts. Unfold and fold function.
