Hello
How to create a double (or triple) floor terminal with different markers on each floor
on SW electrical?
Each time he puts the same marker on both floors and adds a .1 and .2 subfix
Kind regards

Since you have a suffix, you already have different landmarks, right?
I think it's already complex enough for the 2D 3D link and nomenclature to modify the philosophy of solidworks electrical
@+;-))
Child guide = terminal guide
If all the terminals are double-decker to minimize space, it gives:
| 0V | i10 | 24V |
| 0V | i20 | 24V |
so the 0V and the 24V ok but not the i10 and i20 benchmarks and there ...
Hello
Maybe an answer here:
I have a little hidden feature here regarding auto-numbering wires in Solidworks Electrical.
By default, the increment of the wire numbers in a style grouping (N, L1, L2, L3) is the same on each phase (L1-1, L2-1, ... ). This can be a problem for people who do not want to display the prefixes L1, L2 ...
You can find the management of all this in the " project " tab >> Configurations >> Binding style:
We " right-click " on the numbering group and then properties :
We thus find the possibility of changing the numbering style of the multi-wire links:
Spring:

And new for SolidWorks Electrical 2014:
- Sorting and renumbering of terminals in the terminal block editor: this involves being able to renumber the terminals according to their location on the diagrams or according to the cables that connect to them, etc ...
This affects the wires but not the terminals
I even looked in the XML config files but found nothing
Hi all
Stepped terminal markers can be managed at the level of the manufacturer reference circuits (properties on the terminal/manufacturer reference tab).
Even if no manufacturer reference is associated with the terminal, by default each stage corresponds to a circuit (virtual in this case).
For each circuit, simply edit the "Floor Name" column with any character. SolidWorks Electrical will always specify for terminal 2 e.g. syntax 2.Name of the stage (e.g. 2.A, 2.B).
I'm attaching a preview of screens. Good design.
finally you have to know the phylosophy of the software
It is done in 4 steps
- the global name of the XA1 terminal block
- the number of the terminal in this terminal block (with the number of the floor)
- the attribution of the name of terminal, or wire, on each terminal by editing the properties of each terminal
- the allocation of the floor in this same property
The following 4 points are missing from the software:
-there is currently no function to automatically retrieve the name of the wire for the associated terminal
-there is no function to retrieve the terminal names in order to make a listing for the label print
- limitation of the number of wires per terminal
-Vicsual separation on the folio of the floors.
A word to the wise,
