How do you cut a dish from a sheet metal in the shape of a cone trunk?

Hello 

I need to make the development of a dish from a "cone trunk" shaped sheet metal. This is in order to obtain a flat inclined in the direction of the climb.

I manage to create the sheet metal in the shape of a cone trunk but I can't remove the material I wanted to get my dish.

I hope my sketch is clear. However I can send you the cone file if it's simpler

I understand the tree structure of your part, but I am stuck with the sheet metal module.

I'm trying to reproduce the same thing as you but impossible because all my icons are grayed out.

Am I the one doing it wrong?

You have to make a 3d sketch then click on the helix and you convert the entities then you do the same in a second 3d sketch but you move it 100mm (baseboard height). Then you can use the sheet metal module.
