Hi all
You will find attached the PDM window which offers to extract a file when it is opened
with solidworks.
I would like PDM not to offer me to extract sestematically when I open a file.
Thank you in advance.

Indeed, it could be good so that users don't extract without necessarily wanting to. For the moment I told colleagues to be careful but it's true that deactivating it would be good.
I searched in the settings via "Settings" in a group but I couldn't find the option, does it exist?
Hello
In the Solidworks PDM options in Solidworks, disable the option "Request to extract the file if opened in read-only mode"
Oh yes, I found it, it's in SolidWorks: Tools > SOLIDWORKS PDM > Options.
You must uncheck "Request to extract the file if opened in read-only mode" and if desired also select "Never" "When extracting a document, also extract the derived documents".

Thank you, it works
Ah, I wasn't fast enough ;-)
In any case, I'm interested in that too!
Subsidiary question: If you save the settings, are the SolidWorks PDM options included? I don't think so, because for me these are the options of the non-EPDM system.
Is there a trick to be able to set it by default on the workstations?
Hello
This is not included in the exported parameter file of an SW. The only way is to intervene in the registry, see this topic: https://forum.solidworks.com/thread/115033
Wow, it seems very complicated and in English too!
I'll talk about it when the consultant Visiativ comes over...
Not very complicated, you have to check with your info service but basically you have to change the ReadOnlyWarning registry key in the tree below: Software\Solidworks\Applications\PDMWorks Enterprise\PDMSW\Options
Changing the default value from 1 to 0
On the other hand, it is clear that to tinker in a registry you have to know about it, otherwise it is at your own risk.
