How to export BLOCKS; Drawing to DWG

Hello

I'm trying to find out if it's possible to export blocks (which could be manipulated with AUTOCAD).

Starting from a SOLIDWORKS drawing and exporting a DWG file.

Example:

I have an assembly that I want to do a DWG export

In my tree are 2 assemblies and 5 parts

In my DWG export, I would like to have 7 blocks.

Thank you for your feedback.

I don't think it's possible without exporting assembly by assembly and making your blocks in the 2D software

Hello

You can try by putting each part or subset in a different layer. It seems to me that SW layers are imported into Autocad.

Then, in Autocad, you display the layers that are of interest to create blocks. It's not perfect but easier than exporting everything in bulk
then select stroke by stroke.

Hello

Thank you for the feedback.

The layer solution seems like a good idea.

I'm not currently using this SolidWorks feature, I'll have to get started.
