Clarifications on the three sketches of the smoothing function:
- Sketch2 is the one that was used to generate the oblong shape on your initial part. It is simply completed by the two segments delimiting the sections into 1/2 circles at the ends. It is defined in the plane of the upper face of the base block (Boss.-Extru.1);
- Sketch6 is defined in the Right-hand plane, it contains the arc of the cross-section, with its midpoint and a closing segment;
- Sketch7 is defined in the Face Plan, it represents the longitudinal section, with a straight line segment and two symmetrical arcs of a circle.
To generate the volume by smoothing (Smoothing2), you must use the SolidWorks SelectionManager (right-click in the graphics area while waiting for a selection), to select only certain parts of Sketch2 for profiles and guide curves.
Kind regards.
