How do you make a dimension chain on a plan?

I'd like to know if there is a practical function to make strings on Inventor 2012.

  • On the ribbon, click the Annotate  Channel Dimension   Feature Group tab. 

    On the ribbon, you can also click the Annotate  String Set Dimension  feature group tab.  

  • Select the geometry you want to resize in the graphics window:
    • Select individual edges by clicking on them.
    • To select multiple edges, click and drag to draw a selection window.
  • Right-click and choose Continue from the context menu. Move the slider to preview the dimension placement.
  • Click to place the dimensions.
  • Right-click and choose Create.
