How to manage the dimensions of a part via EXCEL on SW14 and drafsight

Hello

I would like to create an excel file in which users enter the dimensions of the part and when opening the solidworks 2014 file and drafsight the 3D part updates and in the same way for drafsight.

Thanks in advance

SLTS

For SolidWorks, you can create a part family: Insert/Tables/Part Family and use an existing Excel sheet.

For Draftsight I'm not sure it works.

PS: remember to settle your old questions!

Yes, I just made them.

Hello

For the automatic creation of DWG files (DraftSight compatible), there are two solutions:

- If you have MyCAD utilities, there is BatchConverter which allows you to bulk convert files (or even a folder): http://www.mycadservices.com/store/fr/apps/mycadtools/presentation-des-utilitaires-2012-mycadtools.html

- Otherwise you have to create a macro, see my tutorial to start in VBA:

And these links on Lynkoa (PDF or DWG modification is a detail in the program):
