Hello
It depends on the version, but it seems to me that you can edit the sketch of the cut line, then reduce it.
We use SW 2016
Can it be reduced with what function or manipulation?
And at worst play with the options in the section view tab if the section view changes to red
(partial cut...)
Simply click on the end of the wider line and drag up or down (or right left)
The cut is correct except that with SW 2016 now there is the possibility of having standard and reduced cuts.... we have just switched to SW 2016 and some of the drawings that we are reopening are standard..... which is embarrassing..... we would like to go back to reduced size....
Is this the 2016 SP2 version that has been available for less than 2 weeks?
Because this version solves many bugs.
Yes yes we have SW2016 SP2.0
I didn't really understand the problem actually.
A priori, the reduced cuts are available since the 2013 version:

Is it possible to have a screenshot?
It may be a bug from 2016 that changes the view to section, but unfortunately, it may not be possible to restore it because it is written in the help page that you can choose the reduced section only at creation:

Reduced vision | Only available when creating the view

After contacting support..... No way..... There is no function possible to switch from a standard view to a reduced view and vice versa.
It's a bit late but we just found a trick:
build the lines perpendicular to the general direction of the section.
So we have an alternation of "normal" lines and "construction" lines. (see attached screenshot)
