How to control a global variable with excel

It's very simple, I simply look for the name that we attribute to a grobal variable in the table of families in excel. (Example for a D1@Esquisse1 rating)

How are the variables defined if it is possible to control them using the family table?

Thanks in advance

There you can get around the problem by rating over your variable and linking this dimension to your variable and this dimension you can retrieve it in an excel file...

I also know the trick but it happens that when changing configs the variable doesn't follow each time, you then have to reopen the equation tab and refresh each config it's very annoying

The only other way is to skip the global variables and go entirely through a part family managed by an Excel file.

Hello

"I'm just looking for the name that we attribute to a grobal variable in the table of families in Excel"

It's: $VALEUR@GlobalVariableName@Equations

And so, the answer is yes to: Can we control a global variable in a family of parts.

Kind regards.

+1000 Yves.T, I didn't know you could do that. It's well noted in the back of my mind ^_^
