How do you bend a beam on solidworks?

Hello

The question may sound silly, but how could I bend a beam on Solidworks?
I mean that I have a hollow beam of 60x40mm and length 10000mm with thickness 4mm.. only, I would have to bend it slightly (as in the photo).

Thank you for your answers, have a good day

Hello

It 's very simple

From the plane on the right, you  make a plane at half your length. Inclined plane  at the same angle as the end of your tube square or parallel as the case may be.

On this plan you make a sketch corresponding to your beam (a square tube in section)

Then you make a plane perpendicular to the first one on which you draw the curve or shape of your beam from above. Be careful not to exceed the middle plane which will allow you to make a symmetry.

Then you do smoothed bossing-base taking the curve as a guide line. So you get half of your beam  that goes from the plane you created to the middle plane.

Then you make a symmetry with respect to the middle shot and it's done.

WOW!

Why make it so complicated? While a simple swipe is enough...

Hello

If you want to do this via the sheet metal function to have the developed as well as the bend lines, you have to do like these

great thank you to you!! Good night

@remrem

You're right, I thought about it in hindsight. It seemed to me that the end was not square to the beam (the tube).

So you're co-correct answer :-)

I will come back to your proposal a little.

A quick question, why do you use a 3D spline if I looked at your model.

I don't use 3D spline often but you always learn from these best colleagues.
