What do you mean by 45° cuts?
For component intersections (L-bent sheet).
I don't want straight cuts but 45° cuts.
I don't know if it's clearer?
I think what you want is miter cuts.
And if you take your model which must be made in one piece in mechanical welding I guess and you use the "convert to sheet metal" function, it should do it.

I think you're making this frame so that it's folded.
It is therefore necessary to create a sheet metal base for each part and then add a "normal" material removal
The "problem" is that your sheet metal edges will remain at 90°. it leaves room for the weld bead
Otherwise, draw a stud, then make symmetries

For me, it's not mechanic welding.
There is folding, cutting, it is not commercial thread that is being cut.
So start with the folded base sheet metal module.
I make frames like this every day, I never have any problems :^p
When he's talking about a single file, he just doesn't want to do any stitching. He wants to do everything in the same file. Which is not stupid
