Hello

I want to make a bent sheet metal frame with 45° cuts in a single part file, without making any assembly.

I don't really know how to put it.

Do you have a solution to the question please?

For component intersections (L-bent sheet).

I don't want straight cuts but 45° cuts.

I think what you want is miter cuts.

And if you take your model which must be made in one piece in mechanical welding I guess and you use the "convert to sheet metal" function, it should do it.

I think you're making this frame so that it's folded.

It is therefore necessary to create a sheet metal base for each part and then add a "normal" material removal

 

The "problem" is that your sheet metal edges will remain at 90°. it leaves room for the weld bead

 

Otherwise, draw a stud, then make symmetries

@ bart I agree a welded mechanic doesn't unfold

it's not made for what

but for this type of part to be made in one piece it's the walkthrough

In addition, it's not very complicated to create and make a sheet metal wing and unfold it

well I'm going out ;-)

They are stubborn with their welding mechanic ^^ hahaha

 

All you have to do is make a bent sheet metal angle, make the cuts at 45° and then either repeat the operation or make symmetry

but even with sheet metal tool you will have multibody 

See parts list welded on the VSPEMENS SCRENN

so you have 4 bodies so a multibody piece .................; -)

in welded mechanic you only have one body since the 4 bodies are welded

but if it suits you so do I

For me, it's not mechanic welding.

There is folding, cutting, it is not commercial thread that is being cut.

 

So start with the folded base sheet metal module.

I make frames like this every day, I never have any problems  :^p

 

When he's talking about a single file, he just doesn't want to do any stitching. He wants to do everything in the same file. Which is not stupid
