How to perform a debonding on the end of a tube connecting to another tube

Hello, thank you for welcoming me to your community.

I would like to cut a horizontal tube on 2mm that connects to a vertical tube. The bar turning must be done on the "helical" part. Attached is a screenshot on which I drew a "spline" to materialize the (upper) part to be removed.

Thank you for your help.

Hello

If you want to perform an operation on this left surface, you can use the "Scan" function by removing material by creating the shape to be removed (sketch created on a plane normal to your curve) which will follow your "spline".

But I may not have grasped your problem

Kind regards

Thank you for your answer.

Since my post I have thought even more than I have for the past 2 days. And I ended up finding a solution.

In fact, you must first make a tube with an "so-called" outer diameter of 32.00 inside + 2.2mm thick to the desired length.

Make the "cut" of the Ø40 tube that passes through it. (in fact I modified the Ø of my 1st tube).

Then make a tube inside it Ø exter32.00 -2.2mm thick, making it protrude from the 1st.

Then cut the Ø40 tube offset by 2.2mm. and that's okay.

Thank you

I pity the one who will have to take this piece again and modify it later.
The @jmsavoyat solution is still cleaner.

I don't understand this answer The part is VERY easy to modify which I have already done since my last post.

Have a nice day.
