How to Retrieve Metadata from a Solidworks File

Hello

Can you tell me how to retrieve metadata from multiple Solidworks files in the form of an Excel table.

Let me explain:

- when you right-click/Properties on a part in the explorer, and there are properties related to the document, you have a customize tab with the properties entered in Solidworks.

so I would like to recover the data to create a plan EDM

Hello, it seems to me that it is not possible to retrieve them from Excel, you will have to go through a SolidXorks macro in VBA for example.

If it's to do it from an assembly, you could create a name with all these links so you have everything and then paste the name into an excel file.

As you are a mycadservice customer, you can export all the metadata of an assembly and its parts via smartbom. This software allows you to retrieve a bill of materials in excel format, among other things, by retrieving the different desired properties of each part.
