How do I fix a Solidworks bug?

When I run a static analysis in the Simulation module, on some of my files, a window opens telling me that SolidWorks has stopped working without further explanation. Where can this come from?

Thanks in advance

Hello

What is the version of Solidworks and is it up to date?

If not, by trying with other parts, does the simulation work on the other hand?

Probably the system memory is insufficient.

PC not powerful enough

The version is up to date, it is SolidWorks 2014.

I have similar but slightly less complex systems that work

We have a computing PC, how much power is needed if this PC is not enough?

Thank you

So it may be a memory problem indeed. Or try to convert the file to another format and redo the simulation after importing.

Otherwise if you have another station nearby, try to simulate this one.

See SW prerequisites:

Hello again,

A bit in the same style, it happens that SolidWorks stops working during a static analysis when I want to change the Force units (go from lbf to newton) for no reason, does it also come from the PC?

Thank you for all your answers

Well, Solidworks 2016 & 2017 are supported by windows 7 but not by windows 8 ...

They are not stable under Windows 8 (Logical given the hyper developed OS....^^)

But under Windows 10, it runs normally

What does the "Rx" give?

Start menu / type Rx and click on Solidworks 2014 Rx.

Make a diagnosis to see if there is not a problem with the hardware and installation.
