How do you get rid of stray threads?

Hello

This is my 1st request and so I would ask you to be indulgent. :-)

I have been dragging this concern for a very long time without providing a categorical answer.

In assembly drawings, I often do the "Model Objects" "Annotations" and "Thread Representation" manipulation in order to import the threads of screws, nuts, threaded rods, etc. in side view.

But I often end up with stray threads that are visible through the rooms. Despite checking "Display thread representations" in the views "High quality".

It's a problem I've always had, I'm in SW 2020 SP5.0 but it also existed in previous versions.

Waiting for your advice.

Kind regards.

Hello;

As of Solidworks 2020, there is an option to "Upgrade  Thread Representations Functions".

This feature can be accessed in assemblies by right-clicking on the Name of your assembly at the top of the construction tree.

To be tested on a copy, Assembly AND Drawing, this operation is irreversible.

Another thing, on the screenshot, it is probably threaded rods... Are they from a family of parts (configuration). If so, look at your net options.

Kind regards

Hello

Thank you for your interest in this subject.

It's not taken from a family of plays. Just an extrusion with a thread representation annotation.

As for the 2nd solution, it gives (each time) the photo below!!
