It is possible to align breaks between two views, but the option is not selected by default!
How can it be selected by default in the drawing template?
Thanks in advance

The best I think is to make a config in 3D
or see this link

Hello
I make my first view with the breakouts and then only then I make my projected view and the latter will have the break lines aligned.
However I agree with GT22 on the breakage config which works very well but requires SW2016.
in your configues
nothing prevents you from creating broken material elevations
and connect these pieces via a construction line that you can hide
and as you know how to constrain this said construction line via points and line lengths
You end up with a piece as you want
a little gymmastic but it works very well in any version
it's a hack of + ;-).....; -)

Hello
I don't think it's possible to do it by default. A macro will probably be able to do this easily on all the views of a drawing with a single click, all you have to do is create the macro!
Edit: if it's possible:
It's in Tools > System Options > Drawing > then check the box "align breaks with parent for projected views" (or something like that).
Thank you.PL
I can't find the line in my options... see attached PDF file.
I'm in 2014 SP4 version
Is this something new in later versions?
Thank you
Hello
I do the same as TicTic "I make my first view with the breaks, then only then do I make my projected view and the latter will have the break lines aligned".
You absolutely have to go to 2014 SP5 which fixes many bugs!
See on the SolidWorks website.
Hello
otherwise a right click on the view to align then check align with the parent.
may the force be with you.
