Weld connections must be created between the gusset in question and the two sides to which it is welded.
Then you will have a stress trace in your welds as well as in your gusset.
I did a test, here are the kind of results you get.
For your information, you have to treat the gussets in shells and the beams in volumes.
If you want a realistic simulation, you need to model your weld and the parts on which it rests in volume. The rest of the model can possibly remain in shell or beam mesh.
How is your part modeled? assembly? room? Volume? multi-body? Mechanically welded element? Function fob? Solder bead function?
