How do I recursively process all configurations of assemblies and parts with Integration?

Hello, the question is in the title.

In the way of "declining configurations", but without creating a new file.

I just want to update the specific properties of each config.

Thank you

Hello

As a subscriber to myCADservices Premium, you have access to the myCADtools suite.

In the "Integration" tool, you just need to create an operation on your active document (Part or Assembly) or on a list of documents.

Kind regards

Precisely, my question is about "Integration" (see the title).

But obviously the utility does not allow you to process all the configurations of a component.

By the way, by dint of searching in the meanders of the mycadtools help, I came across it ... So I think that this is not yet possible.

It's a shame to be able to create new files for each configuration, but simply not to be able to load all the configurations of a component!

Hello

Your screenshot concerns the method of selecting the documents to be processed on which operations can be performed.

In your case "I just want to update the specific properties of each configuration.", you just need to create an action with the operation "Rebuild each configuration", this operation will update your specific properties of the selected files.

This feature has been added since the myCADtools 2021 release. If you are using an earlier  version, I invite you to update it (Setup myCADtools 2022 SP0) if you want to have this feature.

Kind regards

Thank you for your answer. In fact I think I expressed myself badly and that it's more complicated than that.

To be more specific, what I'm looking to do, for each component in my selection:

- determine if there are one or more configurations (I can do that)

- if multiple configurations, create new properties in each of them, including one related to the configuration name

If I'm not mistaken, rebuilding each configuration (I had seen this action), will not allow me to do what I want.

That's why the option in my screenshot seems like the right one for me, right?

I've looked at the other utilities, but I have the impression that no utility in the mycadtools suite is currently able to act on the properties of all configurations of a component.

Hello, I would like to know if anyone has found a solution to this problem? I am in exactly the same case.

Hello

I gave up after Visiativ didn't find a solution for me with MyCadTools.
Since then I haven't tested, maybe it's possible with the latest versions?

Hello
This is possible with the BatchProperties utility, you can read the properties in the document to assign them to all configurations.

and you can add the name of the configuration as a property:
