How to use the combine function

Hello, I would like to use express simulation and I found on this forum that I can combine all the parts of my assembly with save-in PART format, then combine the bodies. However, I can't use this function correctly.

If I select all the bodies and do ''combine-add'' I get a nice message ''there are no bodies left after the matching operation''. What does this mean?

I think I found that it's one of my pieces that doesn't want to combine (I tried it alone with another) and I have the same message.

When I combine all the others together, I don't have a problem.

Are there any specific conditions that must be met in order for the pieces to combine?

I use Solidworks Professional 2016

Thank you

Hello

Watch my tutorial. I think that's what you need.

Hello look at this link http://help.solidworks.com/2016/french/solidworks/sldworks/hidd_dve_feat_combine_bodies.htm

Did you choose the Add option?

The combine function has 3 options:
-add;
- subtract (default)
-Common;

In your case, you should choose "add". Be careful with tangent surfaces, SW doesn't like it, you may need to add a function.
