We have to work with a service provider who does not have SolidWorks for 3D but Autocad, is there a way to share the files? Or is the incompatibility total?

From SW to Autocad no problem neither for 3D (STEP/IGES) nor for 2D, drawings, in dxf or dwg. On the other hand, in the other direction it is more restricted and the data recovery needs to be reworked to be exploited.

Autocad can open 3d sw through the file (Acis *.sat), so there can open the 3d, but it will only be visual with a rendering, rotate the part, but I'm not sure that we can measure to check.
