Compress animations with or without realistic rendering

Hi all

I don't think this question has ever been asked but I want to make a video animation that can be easily opened by a multimedia player.

I create an animation, start the recording with avi compressor so far no problem. By default, the compression ratio of 85% makes me look worthy of a 25MB Amstrad CPC (for a customer presentation...) If I push the compression to 100% it's magical: the same rendering with black frames for a weight of 110MB...

A compression of 3% gives me an 11MB (?) file for a rendering worthy of a good movie night on Canal + without subscription!

Maybe it comes from the microsoft compressor that compresses with an axe and smooths the pixels with a trowel. But if this is the case, would it be possible to change the compressor?

I also tried a lot of config in the settings (fps number, change the precision, ect...) without success.

That's it, if anyone has an idea.

Ha yes I'm on sldw 2014 sp2 but it's been hard for me since 2009.

If you need more details, don't hesitate!

The Xvid MPEG-4 codec is just right for what you want.

Download it and install it.

You then have to select it in the type of video compressor when you save.

Here's a screen print just in case.

Good luck!

Hello

Otherwise you can use a utility like Format Factory (http://www.01net.com/telecharger/windows/Multimedia/encodeurs_et_decodeurs/fiches/44484.html) to compress the good quality file from SolidWorks.

Re everyone

Its working pretty well from 25MB I went to 2.3MB.

Thanks to gfache and everyone for the help!

See you soon
