Top-down construction - extrusion to the surface

Hello

I use an assembly to create a component. In my assembly, I enter the length and width of the component.

Thanks to the family of parts, I can correctly position the different elements that make up my component.

Some elements  use the extrude function to the next surface.

In my source folder, everything works fine. When I pack and go to use this assembly in a particular folder, the extrude functions to the next surface point to the surfaces in the source file, not the surfaces in the file that the pack and Go duplicates. I am therefore obliged to go back in each extrusion to modify the extrusion in blind. Stand out. and flip pointing to the new surface.

Do you have a trick to achieve this?

Note: with my length and width data, I am able to calculate the length of the extrustions if we were to use a blind extrusion.

My goal is of course to have only the width and length to give and that the rest is done automatically

thank you for your help

Kind regards

Hello

On my side it's a pack bug that I often confront, and so after a pack and before modifying anything I check the references and I run the inappropriate part paths,

It is also wise to add a prefix (suffix), and to empty the solidworks cache if it is not done,
