When I create notes in a clip and apply an outline to it, if the note is on multiple lines, an outline is created for each line and not on the entire note.
It's all the more strange that I encounter this problem on only one of the stations where SdWks is installed. I can't find which parameter to change.
Stupid thing you can try. If you do a carriage return (enter or input) it considers that they are two distinct paragraphs, hence the contours for each line.
On the other hand, if you do shift+enter (shift + enter) then it's a line break in the same paragraph (like in word, and most messengers and text formatting software, ) and therefore it shouldn't generate a new outline since it's the same paragraph with several lines.
@Zozo_mp: it's Ctrl+Enter but it doesn't change anything
So it's vicious, there are 2 ways to put a box around the text: - either we check the box in the feature manager when the note object is selected; - Either you select text in the note, and using the same Feature Manager checkbox, you can apply a shape to that text. But indeed whether it's by entering or ctrl-entering, the 2 lines are framed independently.
I'm sorry to contradict you (in part): - on this forum, Word, shift-enter does indeed make a line break and not a paragraph break (easy to test: the line spacing is not the same); - on XL, shif-enter validates the current cell and moves the selection in the opposite direction (i.e. upwards in case of default settings) than if you do Enter. Alt-enter allows you to make a line break in a cell. - on SW, shitft-enter shows me a nice square:
and ctrl-enter (applied here before doing shift-entry) makes a line break:
Thank you for your answers. After several manipulations, everything went back to normal, certainly a bad way of doing things on the station in question. The elements of the answer perfectly describe the functioning I get: the outline is made around the whole note or simply on a line depending on the type of selection.
