Constraints in Solidworks

Hello

Anyone know which command allows you to chain constraints in solidworks 2018?

With 2017, I could do them in a row, now I have to open the order after each constraint.

Thank you

Hello Charles

Normally, there is no functional regression when we go from 2017 to 1018.

In your case when the dialog box is open, you have at the top the green swallow, the red swallow, a rotating arrow, and a THUMBTACK . If you hover over it you have ""Keep visible"". Click on it and you can chain several constraints.

I'll take this opportunity to tell you, in case you don't know, that you have a very useful function, which is the CTRL function.

Example: a bore-shaft stress

You click on the bore with the CTRL key Then you click without releasing CTRL on your tree a tiny window appears so by default the most likely constraint. Just click on the green swallow or Enter to confirm. In addition, this mini window appears very close to the place you select, so less mouse movement and  more speed.
Which leaves more time for the real prawn ;-) ;-)

I practically only use this function except for the advanced functions which are only available in the other standard function.

Kind regards
