Hi all
I draw a metal lathe

  1. I drew the whole pin without any problem, in animation everything works.
  2. I designed the automatic feed to make threads, pinion, lead screw, bearing, carriage, etc
In animation, everything works without any problem
But when I join my second assembly on top of the first one, the lead screw no longer turns,
I drew everything simply without worrying about the floors or the subfolders, I'm not advanced enough for that.
    Thank you for your help

Hello @jagardette

Can you give a little more precision please!

If I understand you made a satisfactory animation on a first ASM.
On the other hand, if you join another ASM, it means that you have two subsets in a new ASM.

Can you enlighten us on this [quote="jagardette, post:1, topic:110292"]
When I put my second assembly together

Kind regards

Hello

It may be as silly as putting the subassembly in ' flexible ' (otherwise solidworks doesn't handle the movements in the subassembly: it considers it a rigid whole):

Just to complete, need to go through the " Property " panel, there is the icon directly in the context menu:
