Conversion from Catia V5 to solidworks

Hi all

 

I have a quick question about file conversion.

I have Catia V5 and Solidworks and would like to convert some of my Catia work to Solidworks.

So far, nothing complicated. The problem I have is that I would like to import the Catia parts into solidworks WITH the creation functions.

 

I don't know at all if something like this is possible and if there is a module (even a paid one) that would allow you to do this, but if anyone has a solution, I'm all for it.

Hello Joss.G,

I have Solidworks premium but it doesn't work.

I have parts including scans and others but also simple parts, but opening a catpart file via solidworks does not work (I do not have a Catia V5-SolidWorks Translator license).

I asked for a trial version of Datakit but it means a dead body, without the basic functions. It's like importing a Step.

 

The person I spoke to on the phone was unable to inform me, telling me that one of his colleagues was going to call me back.

Is that why I am asking the question here:)

At that point, as @gt22 says, Datakit, with its CrossManager, is made for you;)

Edit: ha yes, at that time, I wouldn't know how to inform you :-/

With Cross-manager, I could edit Catia sketches in Solidworks?
